On August 17th, Anna Biller, director and auteur of The Love Witch, announced her intentions for her next film on her personal blog (which I suggest you follow asap).
And, my god, this film description does not disappoint.
She describes this upcoming masterpiece as a "'Bluebeard' movie" and then discusses "'woman in peril' pictures" of the past that "included sophisticated thrillers, juicy noirs, and Dracula pictures." It sounds like the film may also contain some of the elements we all adored in The Love Witch, such as technicolor cinematography and modern characters interacting with romantic (and in this case gothic) settings of the past.
So, basically, she had me at "Bluebeard." But since films, especially those created with the deliberate artistic and critical intent that Biller is known for, can take lots of time, here’s a list of items to tide you over until the big release:

And phew! Without this list, I don’t think I’d be able to quell my speeding-heart anticipation for this new film. If you’re looking for me in the next few months, I’ll be glued to my Netflix queue and probably decorating all my personal items with tiny, pink dagger stickers...
