It’s our favorite, spookiest time of year. Yes, it’s finally October, darlings. What’s the theme this month? Self-reflection. And that is a scary, scary thing sometimes. Being honest with yourself and digging deep into the parts of you that you often repress isn’t easy, but it’s always worth it if you actually want to live a fulfilling life. Scorpio season always calls us to reveal our true selves and no longer live in the hidden parts. Being secretive, even to ourselves, helps no one.
On Wednesday, October 2, Pluto, goes direct, which makes all of this deep reflection come up to the surface. How can you live an honest life while also existing within the flawed parameters of society? Obviously, we all have to compromise sometimes; as much as we all want our fantasy selves and lives to come true, we do have to be realistic. So, be honest with yourself and others, especially those closest to you. Find a middle ground.
On Thursday, October 3, communication planet enters Scorpio, which makes all of this a bit easier. Mars also enters Libra the same day, which reminds us to think the best of others, to live with compassion. Emotions are on the rise this month (how could they not be?), so keep in mind everyone has a struggle, not just you. Venus enters Scorpio on Tuesday, October 8. This, of course, means passion is on fire.
This is followed by a full moon in energetic Aries on Sunday, October 13. Get ready for a sexy, loving, passionate phase. Anything less than that seems pointless. It’s all about living your real and truest self.
Then, there’s a full moon in Scorpio on Sunday, October 27, which brings everything to culmination. This is about looking head for your emotional self over the next year. Halloween starts Mercury retrograde (of course, right?), meaning that it’s time to throw the skeletons out of the closet.
This is a hard month for you. You feel like you’ve been giving your emotions to the wrong people. Why is this? Why do you think you give attention to people who don’t deserve? How can you change this? This is your task this month. Make time for people who deserve it.
Don’t get too ahead of yourself this month and dive into all things. Be measured. Be honest. It’s definitely time for you to let loose, but you can do it while being emotionally responsible to yourself and others. You are easy to lose your heart and your head sometimes. This month calls for you to reconcile a home or partnership issue. Don’t ignore it.
You are feeling loved and valued this month - and are basking in this feeling. How can you use this feeling to help and better others? You are a social sign, and while you deserve your happiness and are only responsible for yourself, it’s also good to think outside of you and for the bigger world.
You are preoccupied this month with your future, particularly your career. While you are also preoccupied by Scorpio’s passion, and your deepening sense of self and self-reflection (both individually and if you’re in a partnership and what that looks like for both of you), the stars are calling you to stop ignoring an important matter. It’s time you make some solid plans.
This month’s retrograde hits you hard. People from your past keep cropping up, and tugging at your heartstrings. Is there something you could rekindle with someone? Are you both in better places now? Don’t be closed off to the future just because the past said one thing.
Are you in the right relationship or friendships? You feel a little restless and frustrated when it comes to your relationships. You feel unseen. It’s time to open up about how you feel, sensitively, and be honest. Ask for what you need.
Much of last month’s good luck is coming to fruition this month. You should be in line for a professional success or opportunity. You feel connected to the people around you; allow yourself to be vulnerable while you have fun. While not everything is meant to be long-lasting, everything is valuable.
The end of something is coming within your personal life. It looks like a major friendship or relationship might be coming to an end, and you probably aren’t entirely surprised either. That’s okay. The universe is simply purging what isn’t necessary or serving you anymore.
You are in transition with yourself. You feel like you are finally on the path to self-discovery. Part of that means you need to be honest with the people around you. Are you seeing people that are just stand-ins for the real thing?
Are you doing what you want or what you think people want you to do? Are you living your real self, or the self that’s most convenient? It’s time to self-reflect and think about the career and relationships you’ve built. What is it that you really want? Who do you really want to be?
You’re feeling introverted and distant this month - and you might not even be sure why. It’s time to reflect on your desires and emotions. Are you upset about something? Be honest and upfront. Playing cool never actually helps, and just builds resentments. Are you letting your emotions get in the way of your relationships with others?
This month speaks to your deeper, more reflective self, but don’t let that keep you a wallflower. Go out and be social, you never know who you might meet professionally or personally. While the retrograde has you feeling down, it is also renewing your entire outlook on life. You will be the better for it.
